Introducing our performers…

Make My Day! promises a wonderful, eclectic line up of acoustic music, dance and walk-about daftness.

Giant jellyfish have been spotted on Lancashire’s shores… but don’t worry – they won’t sting!

Watch out for these beautiful creatures as they glide and shimmer their way around the Gardens throughout the afternoon, trailing bubbles of happiness behind them as they go. We can’t wait to see this specially commissioned, new dance work – choreographed by Jenny Reeves with exquisite costumes designed and made by Katie Duxbury – making it’s debut at Make My Day!

Our loudest act, The Yorkshire Oompah Band are guaranteed to get your toes tapping with their foot-stomping, thigh-slapping traditional German “Oompah” music. PARP!

Calm and soothing to the ear, and in total contrast -Tutti Flutti , a 22 piece Chinese Flute Orchestra, will serenade your afternoon, performing delicate interpretations of orchestral classics. Keeping things local, we head back to Lancashire to bring you songs and tales of Morecambe Bay, from the Sunderland Point Sea Shanty singers and the Yon Lot clogging troupe performing hornpipes and traditional Lancashire folk dances.

The Boats with Legs have run-aground, but festival favourites Inner State, return with more sophisticated stupidity. A larger-than-life Punch and Judy have escaped from their booth and, like all the visitors at Make My Day! are enjoying a day out at the seaside. Mr Crocodile is happy to smile at everyone from Judy’s arms, but Mr Punch, as usual, is not the best person to be looking after the baby.
We think it’s safe to say, our line up truly ranges from the sublime to the ridiculous… and we hope you have a wonderful, fun-filled day!
