This weekend just gone we took a range of activities to The Exchange Creative Community in Morecambe’s West End to give you a taster of the fun to come.

As a part of the Exchange Creative Community’s Second Saturday programme, Hannah Fox, our amazing animation wizard ran a paper cut animation workshop, and MMD organiser Kate Drummond made giant paper cut murals with the public.

We were also pleased to be able to launch an exhibition of work by the Make My Day contributing artists. The show comprises a multitude of styles including photography, original painting, screen prints, sculpture, t-shirts, digital collage and everything in between. The show is on at The Exchange building on West Street, Morecambe until Friday 11th August, and it’s well worth a visit! All work on show is for sale. Or check out the show online and buy something via the Exchange online shop.

All the animations made on the day and those made at the previous workshops (12 so far!) will be screened on Make My Day! in Hannah’s amazing ‘Rusty Roxy’ pop-up cinema!

Here’s a few shots from the recent Arndale Centre workshop (courtesy of Irena Vettese) of her happy young animator at work with Hannah on his masterpiece…

Our thanks also to local filmmaker Boris Seagal for this snippet of the day…
