The sun shone down, and creativity shone through in Morecambe’s West End for Make My Day! 2018

Make My Day! brought the West End Gardens to life - with people turning up in droves to join in with all the
wonderful free activities on offer. Hundreds of recycled wooden sculptures, cardboard automata, mixed-up collages,
wacky sunglasses and beautiful origami fish were made. The crowds were wowed by The Strong Lady’s incredible
feats of strength, serenaded by Mr. Ben’s one-man band, enthralled by AboutTime Dance Company’s enigmatic
Snoctopus and entertained by Bingo Records melting vinyl DJ set.

The event was produced by The Exchange Creative Community in partnership with Kate Drummond and funded by
Arts Council England, Morecambe Town Council and Lancashire County Council with support from Morecambe Bay
Partnership, The Arndale Centre Morecambe, S J Bargh and Volker Brookes Atkins.

Event organiser, Kate Drummond said; “We all had such an amazing day - full of fun, genuine happiness and
incredible inventiveness. It was lovely to see so many people in the park, making things together and having a great
time. We are looking forward to bringing Make My Day! back to Morecambe next year already!”
